Andi is fighting for a city that works for all, not just the few.
Spadina-Fort York represents the best of Toronto. From the creative spirit of Queen West to the entrepreneurial spirit of Chinatown; or whether you’re soaking up the vibrancy of Trinity Bellwoods or the energy of the big game in Liberty Village; or if you’re catching up with friends on the Ossington Strip or spending a day on the Islands; there is a home for everyone here in Ward 10.
However, though Ward 10 is a perfect example of what makes the city great, Spadina-Fort York faces real challenges. From being subject to undemocratic political decisions to residents being crushed by the cost-of-living crisis, in addition to a real lack of community investment, the residents of Ward 10 deserve more.
Under these mounting pressures, I am answering the call to do more in civic life. Like many of you, I have seen Toronto become a city that continues to fail its residents time and time again. Though we all want a city that works we can’t achieve this if our local government remains hellbent on repeating the same ineffective solutions over and over and expecting something different. It's time for something new.
I’m running to be your City Councillor because you deserve a city that not only works for you, but is inspired and led by you. I believe that municipal governance needs to be rooted in the community and informed by your everyday needs because you are what makes Ward 10 - Spadina-Fort York great and you deserve a home you can be proud of.
